Sound Box
The sound box is for producing appropriate sound effects for the radio display ,
It is constructed to look like an external speaker,
In this case one sound source is an ipod nano this have a dedicated sound track of morse code , The out put from the ipod goes in to an amplifier which amplify the sound to a controllable level, this amplifier can be switched on and off from a switch on top of the unit,
The second sound source is a miniature dictaphone voice recorder on to which is recorded appropriate voice radio chatter,
The advantage of the tape recording is that where silent gaps occur ( where no sound is recorded ) this will give the effect ( when the unit is switched on ), that intermittent communication's are taking place.
